Discovering Rome

Rome is a city full of attractions of all kinds: ancient and modern art, daytime and evening activities, great gastronomic dishes. Let's discover some things to see and try in a trip to Rome!

1- Castel S. Angelo

Emperor Hadrian built the fortress originally as a mausoleum, before it was transformed into a military outpost. Today it houses the National Museum of Castel S. Angelo. In some periods of the summer the Passetto di Borgo is open to the public. This elevated path that connects the castle to the Vatican was created as an escape route for the Pope.

2- The Forum

The Forum was rediscovered in 1803. After a century of excavations it was reopened to the public and you can walk in this open-air museum, which dates back to the sixth century BC. Walking through the remains of what was once the heart of Roman public life, you will find well-preserved temples and monuments, free audio guides and lots of information explaining what it was like in ancient times.
