Discovering Alicante

Between museums and churches, beaches and restaurants, Alicante is a city full of things to do, to see and to taste! Let's discover Alicante!

1- Mercado Central

This large covered market at the top of Alfonso el Sabio is home to a plethora of fish and meat stalls. The fish stalls are a particular attraction, with their counters almost overflowing with crabs, lobsters, squid and more. Fresh fruits and vegetables also abound, and you can look for some regional specialties such as turrón and Mistela, a sweet dessert wine.

2- Playa Postiguet

Right next to the old town is a very functional beach, if you don't want to go far to enjoy the sea and sand. Playa del Postiguet is a golden sandy beach with shallow and calm sea. Given its size and location, the beach can get a little crowded in the summer.
