Vegueta is the old part of the city of Las Palmas. Many of its streets are pedestrianized, so you can walk freely through the center admiring several symbolic places of the city, such as the Plaza de Santa Ana, the Canary Islands Cathedral and the Espíritu Santo square.

4- Ropa Vieja
Ropa Vieja is a Cuban dish that is popular throughout the Caribbean, but the Tenerife version is very different. Here chickpeas are the main ingredient and leftovers of meat - sausages, beef, chicken - are added to the pot, or you can use cuts of meat like legs or ribs. Herbs and spices are also added to the stew.
