4- Ropa Vieja

Ropa Vieja is a Cuban dish that is popular throughout the Caribbean, but the Tenerife version is very different. Here chickpeas are the main ingredient and leftovers of meat - sausages, beef, chicken - are added to the pot, or you can use cuts of meat like legs or ribs. Herbs and spices are also added to the stew.
