Discovering Cancun

Beaches, nightlife, cultural activities, delicacies to taste, Cancun is full of things to see, do and enjoy! Let's discover some of them!

1- Xcaret

Along the Mayan Riviera you will find Xcaret, a cultural and activity park combined with authentic pre-Hispanic ruins and a chance to see Mayan craftsmen at work and a Mesoamerican ball game in the Gran Tlacho theater, seating 6,000. During the construction of Xcaret some caves created by underground rivers were discovered, and you can snorkel in their waters.

2- Subacuático De Arte Museum

This underwater museum off the west coast of Isla Mujeres was opened in 2009. Slowly, corals and other marine life began to settle on the museum's sculptures, designed by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor. There are more than 500 works submerged in 400 square meters of shallow sea. These pieces can be viewed from a glass bottom boat if you prefer to stay dry, but most people opt for snorkeling and scuba diving to get a better view.

3- Chichén Itzá

Cancun
World Heritage Site and one of the most famous pre-Hispanic ruins of the Americas, Chichén Itzá is a place not to be missed. For archaeologists the site is of inestimable value, as it was inhabited through three phases of Mesoamerican history. In the central area of the site are the most famous findings of the site, the 25-meter calendar stone and the pyramid of Kukulkan.
