4- Dholl Puri

Perhaps the most famous dish of Mauritius, to be tasted at all costs! Dholl Puri is a pancake made of ground yellow peas, seasoned with cumin and turmeric, grilled on a flat pan and wrapped with curry bean butter, spicy tomato sauce, pickled vegetables, coriander and chili pepper.
