Discover Malaga

Located on the sparkling coastline of the Costa del Sol, Malaga embodies the charm of a city that has been transformed over the years. The city therefore offers a wide variety of things to discover. Here are just a few of them:

1. Visit the Picasso Museum

The museum is a tribute to the city's prodigal son born in 1881. It is a must-see in the city. 11 rooms offer a glimpse of 80 years of work through a rich collection of works. Paintings, sketches, sculptures, ceramics... Note that you can also visit Picasso's birth house in Malaga.

2. Visit Alcazaba

The Alcazaba is a splendid palace-fortress with Arabic architectural influences. Located on a hillside, the Alcazaba of Malaga was built in the 11th century as a fortress palace for the city's Muslim rulers. It is one of the city's best-known tourist attractions.

3. See the Roman Theatre

Standing at the foot of the Alcazaba, the ruins of this theatre, built in the 1st century A.D., are a reminder of the city's Roman past. It was discovered in 1951 after some work. Some of the rocks on this site were used to build the Alcazaba and next to it you will find a centre where you can learn more about the customs of the time.

4. Taste the fried fish

The most typical element of Málaga cuisine is without a doubt the "pescaíto frito" (fried fish). The fish served are often these: anchovies, red mullet, small squid, cuttlefish, dogfish, dogfish, etc. This essential dish is accompanied by several lemon wedges to be squeezed over the frying pan, as you wish.
