This small hill is located west of downtown Montreal. Mont-Royal is part of Mount Royal Park, which is a magnificent park designed by the same creator of Central Park in New York City. You can take a hike or bike ride along the winding path that leads to the top of the hill to enjoy breathtaking views of the city. The view also extends beyond the city limits to the St. Lawrence River.

2- Strolling in the Jean-Talon market

The Jean-Talon outdoor market is a colorful market in the Little Italy district of Montreal. The market extends along two streets of the city and is open every day from 7 am. It is a great place to shop for fresh food, cheese, spices and bulk products. Even if you don't need these things, it's worth taking a walk and mingle with the locals.
 

3- Go to the Montreal International Jazz Festival

The Montreal International Jazz Festival (held annually in July) presents about 3,000 musicians from around the world, attracting nearly 3 million people each year. There are about 650 concerts during the 10 days of the festival, more than half of which are free!

4- Discover Montreal underground

Throughout downtown Montreal there is a network of underground shopping centers, boutiques and dining options. Not only is it an easy way to get around the busy neighborhood, but it is also a great way to escape the winter cold. The passageways connect seven subway stations, with stores and dining options between them. Some hotels in the center are also connected to the subway!
