2- Visit the National Archaeological Museum

This fantastic complex will offer hours of entertainment and training and will be the main source of archaeological finds in Cagliari. The museum is located in the north-western part of the old town, in the immediate vicinity of the Roman Amphitheater, and this creates the perfect opportunity to combine the two things in one trip. Inside this museum there is an impressive collection of Punic, Greek and Roman finds, but also a great wealth of relics collected in different regions of Sardinia.

3- Enjoy the view from Bastion San Remy

Cagliari
The immense and rich structure is located in the center of the historic center of Cagliari and is one of the most famous icons of the city. Originally used as a defensive structure to fortify Cagliari, the Bastion stands today as a splendid panoramic platform offering a splendid view of the Mediterranean Sea and the port areas of the city. Visiting this bastion is one of the first things to do in Cagliari to see a piece of its history and to see the city that extends below you.

4- Getting lost in the Citadel of Museums

This area of Cagliari is known as the museum district and is full of interesting structures that host many exhibitions. This delightful area is located in the north of the historic center of the city, in Via Ubaldo. Inside the complex there are the National Gallery of Cagliari, the Archaeological Museum, the Anatomical Wax Collection and the Museum of Oriental Art.

5- Breathe the air of the Roman Amphitheater

Cagliari
Thanks to its ancient history, Cagliari has several Roman ruins, and the best preserved is undoubtedly the Roman Amphitheater. Located in the northern region of the historic old town, this structure dates back to the second century AD and was partially excavated in the rock face of the hill. Today it is possible to organize guided tours of the monument and also hosts several concerts and shows.

6- Wander around the St. Benedict's Market

Local markets always offer the chance to find some top quality bargains, and to experience how a city's inhabitants live and work. The market of San Benedetto is without doubt the biggest and busiest in Cagliari and is the perfect place to mingle with the locals.
