What to see in Malaga?

Malaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol, is an ideal destination to enjoy the sun and Spanish culture. Located in the south of Spain, in Andalusia, Malaga is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the peaks of the Betic Cordillera. The city therefore offers a wide variety of things to see. Here are a few of them:

1. The Roman theater

Standing at the foot of the Alcazaba, the ruins of this theater built in the 1st century A.D. are a reminder of the city's Roman past. It was discovered in 1951 after works. Some of the rocks on this site were used to build the Alcazaba and next to it you will find a center where you can learn more about the customs of the time.

2. Atarazanas Market

The market is always the best place to get delicious local products. In Málaga, we recommend you to visit the Atazanas Market, a covered market located in a beautiful 19th century building with colorful stained glass windows. It is a very lively place with many stalls of fresh produce, dried meat and Spanish cheese.

3. The Botanical Garden

You must absolutely make a passage in the most beautiful garden of Spain or even Europe. The botanical garden "La Concepcion". It extends over 3 hectares and offers a setting that mixes waterfalls, fountains and above all 25,000 plants belonging to 2000 different species. Classified as a "historic-artistic garden", it is a true haven of peace. The Botanical Garden of Malaga is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city!

4. The Soho district

Take a walk in the Soho neighborhood. Once a district in decline, it has been totally transformed and renovated by street artists. Some buildings and facades are now completely covered with street art. The neighborhood is also called the art district, so walking in this part of the city is really pleasant. In this neighborhood you will also find craft stores, art galleries, restaurants serving world cuisine and some trendy bars.
