4 things to see in Dublin

Dublin is deeply rooted in its incredible history and culture, offering much to its visitors. Let's discover some things to see in Dublin!

1- The Spire

One of the easiest monuments to spot from a distance, "The Spire" stands proudly in the center of O'Connell street, about 120 meters above the ground. This all stainless steel structure has a diameter of about 3 meters at the base and 15 centimeters at the apex. The tip of the structure is also illuminated at night by an external light source to act as a beacon in the night sky.

2- Ha'penny Bridge

Ha'penny Bridge is known to be the first pedestrian bridge that spans the Liffey River. Its name comes from the price pedestrians had to pay (a "half penny") to cross the bridge when it was built in 1816. Today it has become one of the main "monuments" that identify Dublin, appearing on postcards, tourist brochures, books and memorabilia.

3- Dublin Castle

Dublin
Take a trip back to the Dublin of the past by visiting the famous Dublin Castle. With over 800 years of Irish memories enclosed within its walls, this structure has witnessed some of the most important events in the country's history. The Castle proudly stands on the highest ridge of the town and offers self-guided and guided tours of the park, including the many rooms of the Castle, gardens and museums.

4- Trinity College Library

An incredible architectural marvel, the Trinity College Library is the largest library in the whole of Ireland. It is also home to the famous Book of Kells, an ornate manuscript containing all four New Testament Gospels which is over 1000 years old. Unfortunately, the main library is only open to staff, graduates and students of the university, but this does not prevent tourists from taking a look at the Old Library, which is open to visitors.
