Air India (AI/AIC)

India's flag carrier, Air India is one of the world's largest airlines and offers a way for millions of Indians to travel around the country every month. It's also one of the oldest airlines in Asia, having been founded by industrialist JRD Tata in 1932. Nationally owned after 1946, Air India flights began to knit together the new nation and spread to include connections all over south Asia and the Middle East.
